We provide corporate tuition to both individuals and small groups of up to 5 students.

After an initial assessment, a ’10 session plan’ is devised to ensure that both the teacher and student(s) know exactly what is expected of them. Each lesson is recorded and uploaded on to the website, so that students can re-listen to the lesson each week. This also serves as a form of quality control, as it allows Smiths English to monitor both teachers and students.

Lessons can cover a combination of the following:

Smiths English originally began as an English tutoring service. Our aim has always been to fulfil individual needs. We produced our own teaching material because we noticed a massive gap in the market in terms of providing students with transferable language skills. All face-to-face students have access to our online portal of audio lessons.

There are currently 24 audio lessons available, however this is set to increase to 50 or more in the next six months. Each audio lesson is accompanied by a written document, so that students can listen and read at the same time. Each lesson contains tutorial on the grammatical point being addressed and a role play to put what is being learned into context. The role plays are deliberately modern in theme and take place in a variety of environments and situations- in this way they cover a broad spectrum of vocabulary and a variety of language structures.
